Individual counseling

I believe we all have within us the capacity for healing, growth, happiness, and fulfillment. But to successfully navigate that journey, we often need guidance … because life can be hard. Really hard.

We all get stuck. We all get tired. We get anxious, angry and depressed. Sometimes we spin out. And it’s not always easy to get back on track.

The good news is that you’re not alone.

My job is to work with you to uncover what’s at the root of the pain. Through the process of therapy we shed light on old ways of being that are no longer necessary, learn compassion for ourselves, and develop knew skills. These are big steps toward real and positive change.

Each person has a different set of needs and issues to work through, and I meet you wherever you are. I employ a variety of therapeutic techniques tailored to your situation, integrating psychodynamic therapy, Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT).

Couples counseling and Relationship Coaching

We all have an innate desire to experience deep, intimate connections with people in our lives. These relationships are an integral part of our overall health. They create pleasure. They create pain. And when they do, one of the most effective ways to create lasting, positive change is to work through issues together.

In couples counseling, we collaborate to create relationships that are healthy and meet your mutual needs. We focus on the dynamics of your relationship and on your needs as individuals, exploring ways to heal emotional wounds. By healing our relationships we often find that we can create healthier future relationships, not just with intimate partners, but with our family, children, friends and colleagues.

I affirm all relationship styles and sexual orientations. I work with couples and relationships in all different states, whether you’re interested in staying together, trying to determine if staying together is the right choice, choosing to separate, seeking help moving through a divorce, or struggling with co-parenting after a divorce or separation … just to name a few.
